Offensive Security Consultant, Edinburgh

Role

  • Leading and delivering technical engagements, ensuring we deliver best-in-class cyber security services to our customers.

  • Collaborating in technical research, ensuring teams are always advancing our practices and improving our skills.

  • Helping our clients build and strengthen their internal capabilities, partnering with internal Security Teams to increase the effectiveness of their investment and reduction of risk.

  • Help build and nurture internal teams, ensuring we find and retain the best people, developing their skills and helping them develop their own careers.

  • Being a key part of the strategy and direction of the Offensive Security team, including suggesting and building new product and services, developing methodologies, improving processes, selecting tools, ensuring quality assurance, etc.

Requirements

We understand that not every candidate will tick all the following boxes, but these are the types of things we are looking for in a candidate:

  • Strong technical background, usually with 5 or more years of experience delivering penetration testing, compromise assessments and/or red team engagements.

  • Relevant and desired industry certificates include combinations of CREST Certified Tester (INF/APP), CyberScheme Team Leader with the perspective of achieving CHECK Team Leader status.

  • Great people skills, delivering engagements, while mentoring and supporting other team members.

  • Excellent report writing and presentations skills, able to convey deep technical information to technical teams, while also effectively advising and communicating with non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to interact with sales and project teams, providing effective collaboration and support during pre-sales, scoping, engagement reviews, etc.
